In 2021, over a 8 months period from March to beginning of December 2021, around 130 sessions of around 2 hours of collective and individuals lessons have been held.

For a full year, it represented a budget of around 3000 € for 2 teachers.

 

The purchase of instruments (4 trumpets) as well as various material and consumables amounted to around 1000 €. The 2 keyboards we are using have been donated.

 

Timbuktu association and Victoria Yards give us access to their space for the lessons, so we don’t pay at the moment any rent. However, we give a part of the donation received to Timbuktu for their support.

 

So globally, in 2021 the total budget amounted to around 4000 €.

In 2022, with 4 part-time teachers and 1 music school supervisor, the budget for the salary considering a full year would be of around 9 000€.

Our  brand new 78 m2 space with 1 main room, 3 smaller rooms, allowing several kids to have lessons or practice at the same time, 1 office and 1 bathroom represents a yearly expense of around 6 000€.

In order to equip and maintain our music school studio, we had to buy a few furnitures and various items.

​

We haven’t had to buy new instruments in 2022 as we had donations, but had to pay for the pianos transport and for various items necessary to use the instruments (as valve oil for trumpets, saxophone’s reeds etc…). However, to allow more kids to play together and also have the possibility to lend instruments to the most committed students, we are planning to buy others instruments.

Consequently, the budget for a full year would amount to around 17 000€

Our development in 2022 and 2023 will obviously also depends on the amount of donation!
